Compassionate first

We believe symptoms are real and worthy of care, whatever their origin. Every person who reaches us is met with dignity.

Built on community

Peer groups, family support, and lived-experience voices sit at the heart of everything we build.

Grounded in evidence

Our resources are shaped alongside clinicians and researchers so guidance stays clear, current, and trustworthy.

Our mission

Turning isolation into understanding

Somatic Symptom Disorder can be lonely and confusing. Persistent pain, fatigue, or other symptoms are real — yet too many people are dismissed or told it's "all in their head." We exist to change that.

  • Free, plain-language education for patients and families
  • Peer support groups led by people who understand
  • Advocacy for compassionate, whole-person care

For years I thought no one believed me. The first time I sat in an SSD Hope circle, someone described my exact experience — and I finally exhaled. This is the place I wish I'd found a decade ago.
